International Bear Rescue - the board game

International Bear Rescue is a board game for kids 8+. It’s a game parents and grandparents can quickly unpack, set up and play with kin and not be daunted by complex rules. It’s a game that encourages a 2nd playing because it is relatively brief - 15 to 30 minutes playtime.

Travel the world with the team to rescue bears and deliver them to the International Bear Rescue Headquarters based in Australia. 

After a short stay for rest and recovery, all Bears are returned to their homes. 

The basic version of the game tasks you to fly your Shuttle to rescue four bears and return them all to International Bear Rescue Headquarters (HQ) before the other players arrive with their Bears.

In the advanced game, you play as one of the four International Bear Rescue Team members. 

Each of these characters has a Special Action that you can use throughout the game.

FT Bear

Simply known as Bear, he grew up on the tundra and constantly informs everyone how tough he is due to his challenging seminal years in this harsh environment. Bear founded International Bear Rescue by himself and built the emergency service from scratch.

Jonathan Sargent

Jonathan is a Raccoon who hails from Toronto in Canada. He was in the Royal Canadian Mounted Police and recruited by Bear when they met on a joint exercise rescuing a Grizzly bear after a cave collapse in the Rocky Mountains. Jonathan is the real brains of the operation. 

Joan Murray

Joan is an Otter imbued with natural beauty who unsurprisingly has a big love of rivers. She is crazy for most water ways but has a particular fondness for the river, not so much the creek or the stream, it must be a river, the wider the better. 

Snowy

 The youngest member of the team and the latest recruit. Snowy was orphaned and rescued by International Bear Rescue, who then adopted and subsequently recruited him into the International Bear Rescue team. He is the most fearless member of the squad and will jump head first into a dangerous situation.
